About us
Our Story
ViVa Holding is a live performance production company—theater and dance—based in Reykjavik, Iceland. We support the creation of engaging and innovative performances.
The company was founded in 2007 in Washington, Pennsylvania, under the name off the WALL productions. We moved to Carnegie Stage in 2012, where over 70 productions were staged in both Carnegie and New York City.
In 2022, captivated by Iceland's landscapes, values, and creative energy, we established ViVa Holding, the Icelandic equivalent of off the WALL, in Reykjavik. We have benefited from the collaboration with Tjarnarbio Theater, where many of our productions have been successfully performed. We are now working on developing partnerships with other theaters throughout Europe.
Our missions
We aim to bring current issues to the stage that are underrepresented in mainstream media and shows.
We want to empower artists, particularly women and minority artists, to have their voices and stories heard.
We are committed to enabling authors, choreographers, actresses, dancers, technicians, and directors to collaborate in good conditions, and receive fair compensation for their work.
We work to support the creation of innovative shows in both their form and topic.
